i would say on a noise scale the Jardine is loud. Louder than stock pipes on a HD, but definatly quieter than straights. I live in a very quiet neighborhood and leave for work at 630am and i dont have a problem. When idleing or just cruising along you can still hear the engine..not loud, with the throddle wide open its just loud. The only thing i found with mine, is after all the carb adjustments(spacer gone, and mixtur/idle adjusted) it still backfires when shutting off if i ride it hard...that one pop is no longer a pop, its more like a small explosion...lol. I think though mines just running to rich..so its fixable.
